A wonderful story that started in 1978
When in August 1978 Fritz HOTSCHNIG, Master Caterer, made the idea of his life come true by founding the catering company De Schnékert, few people would have guessed that this business became one day one of the largest caterers in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. And yet, over the years, this has been the case and De Schnékert has enjoyed dazzling success.
One of the events that helped set the tone for the chapters of the De Schnékert story was, in 1980, the opening of the first delicatessen in the Luxembourg city centre and, in the same year, the opening of a shop in the Belle Etoile shopping mall.
In 1989, the De Schnékert kitchen, initially set up in the Mamer/Cap industrial estate in 1978, moved to a larger and superbly equipped site in Windhof.
Since 2005, De Schnékert Traiteur has run a store in the heart of the Belle Etoile shopping centre in Bertrange, also featuring a take-away counter selling hot and cold delicacies.
Catering, food specialties, gift baskets, pâtés, terrines, salads, homemade pasta, take-away culinary specialties, local quality produce labelled “Marque nationale”… De Schnékert provides an exclusive range of unique products and services at the Belle Etoile C-INN.
De Schnékert has built a reputation for organising small or large banquets, nationally and internationally, leaving the customer relaxed and with nothing to worry about.
